So sad! I can't post any pictures or videos in this blog anymore as there's no more storage space left unless we purchase more space from Blogspot. Didn't know blogspot only gives 1GB free storage. Am moving on to Wordpress.com as there's 3GB free storage.
Daddy thinks it's a good time to move on too as we're be including my baby sister in the blogging entries. So, check out http://jirehjetaime.wordpress.com/

We can spilt the seedpods. !
And hey, there's the seeds. Interesting
Afterwhich, we went for a nature walk cum hunt for more interesting stuff. Lots of mushrooms growing from a log.Friday, April 03, 2009
Early Morning at Singapore Zoo
26 March 2009
Still in holiday mood (read animals mood), I requested to visit Singapore Zoo today. Mummy obliged as it's been a while since she went to the Zoo. So off we went and what an extremely fruitful day we had. Because I woke up earlier, thus we were FINALLY able to catch the elephants bathing which is at 9.15am daily.
Elephants bathing.
Brave little me wanted to feed the elephants after that and what fun I had.
We went on to see the feeding of the polar bear.
And yes, it just so happened to be the feeding of the giraffes and I insisted that I want to feed them. Poor mummy had to fork out another $5 for the feeding. But seeing how much I love to feed the animals, mummy had no complaints after that. Maybe she should claim the expenses from daddy. Haha!!
We managed to catch the feeding of the Jaguars and they are such beautiful creatures. had a great time seeing the big wild cats in action too!
We proceeded to the Kidzworld for lunch and to exercise those large motor skills by playing the 'Twister' and the playground and yes, I tried something new - the Flying Fox. It was such fun. But I fell off the flying fox upon my 1st attempt because mummy didn't know the impact when it reaches the end (and hit the pole) was so great. Brave little me still continued to play after mummy assured me that she would hold on to me even till the end. Very fun!!

Bear and Chicken Go Camping!
25 March 2009It's a fun-filled and fruitful week after being back from Down Under. The day after making cookies, Mummy brought me to catch 'Bear and Chicken Go Camping' at DBS Arts Centre.

Look at how engrossed we were when the play was going on. Oh, the blue thingy on the right of the above picture is cuurently my favourite soft toy. I called it 'Bo-bo' (short form for bolster) and I brought it along to catch the play.I enjoyed the play though it wasn't the best that I've seen. Learnt more about rotation of the earth and what causes day and night. Yeah!!

1st Time Baking Cookies.
Daddy bought Australian Animals Cookie Cutter when I requested I want. Thus 2 days after being back from Australia, mummy decided to try her hand in baking cookies. It's her maiden try and mine too. Haha!! But what fun we had, and it was ohh... so easy too!
While waiting for the cookies to be baked in the oven, mummy accidentally dropped an egg while preparing lunch. She seized the opportunity to let me have some hands-on experience with the raw egg.
It was indeed so much fun for me as I broke the egg shell further, feel the slimy egg yolk and whites and basically messed it all up, even more. LOL.Friday, March 27, 2009
Videos Taken In Australia
Brave little me,sandboarding with Daddy!
After sandboarding, our guide brought us to a nearby beach and taught us how to dig for pippi (a kind of shellfish). Afterwards, he shown us how a pippi burrowed into the sand by itself. Very interesting.
Baby mandrill playing 'Hi-Five' with me.
Platypus
Patting wallaby
Up close view of tiger and saw it passing urine. Haha!

Mebourne and Sydney Holiday!!!
15 March 2009Where is my luggage going?
Oh, I'll see it in Melbourne the next day. Okay, goodbye luggage!
Very excited and looking forward to this Australia trip with daddy and mummy. Though it was 11+pm at the Changi Airport, I was still so bright and cheery. =)
In the plane and changed into my pyjamas, I hugged and kissed this 'bolster' soft toy given to me by the air stewardess.
My delicious late night supper. Thumbs up for Singapore Airlines!
16 March 2009After touching down at Mebourne and checking into our hotel, we headed straight to the Melbourne Zoo. This baby mandrill likes me and responds to my hi-five, you know. It was so much fun and indeeed an experience for me to be 'playing' with a mandrill! See video below (to be updated soon) for the encounter.

My 1st time being so close to an 'orange' tiger. Singapore Zoo only has white tiger while the Night Safari's tigers are too far away to be seen so clearly.
A golden pheasant.
While having my lunch at the zoo, this magpie came and I played with it. Hee ;p
Hello kangaroos!
Cheeky me trying to hop like a kangaroo.
One of the best part in Melbourne Zoo - the wombat's burrow. See the 2 wombats sleeping so blissfully. So fat and cute. Haha!
A man-made burrow specially for children to explore what is it like to be a wombat. I love this burrow and played with it, inside and outside for quite a while. And yes, it was really dark inside.
Me in the dark burrow with a fake wombat.
Echidna eating.
Lazy koala sleeping almost the whole day long and the whole night long.
The platypus santuary.
2 sleepy lions.
Guess who's the tiger?
Back in the hotel room, I was soooo... exhausted that I could sleep in any position. Reason being I didn't sleep well during the night flight (only managed about 4 hours of sleep as I'm not used to sleeping on the plane.
After a power nap, I was back to my happy self during dinner time. Yeah!!
17 March 2009Puffing Billy, here I come.
It's a real steam train and what an experience!!
Me sitting happily on the steam train beside daddy.

After filling our stomach, we proceeded to Healesville Sanctuary.
At the entrance of Healesville Sanctuary.
Hello Emu!

Hee... it's so much fun to be so up close with the animals.
Red-eyed tree frogs!
Dingoes.
Dinner time with a super big sized 'Yakult'. I love it to bits!!

18 March 2009Before our day tour at 1.30pm (Australian time), I insisted that we go to the Melbourne Aquarium in the morning. Anyway that was part of our plan but mummy decided not to go as we'll be heading to the Sydney Aquarium the next day. But due to my insistence, daddy and mummy gave in. Heehee ;p
Glad we came afterall as you'll see in the later pics of some new experiences that we had, especially of the shark eggs and sea stars.
A big stone fish. And it really looks so much like a stone, that I almost missed it.
Lion fishes! Another sea creature from my 'Mister Seahorse' book.
Know what I'm holding in my hand. That's a shark egg case. It's unbelieveable right? It's also mummy and daddy's 1st time seeing one and holding one too!
Daddy has two different egg case from 2 different kinds of shark. It's amazing because it really doesn't look like our normal egg at all. Xiao-yi (upon seeing the pictures) even asked us where is the egg. lol
For reference. Hee ;p
Commonly known as starfish, but the auntie there told us that it should be called a sea star because it's not a fish. Hmm... interesting!
Undecided what I really want. Haha! To touch the sea star or to have another feel of the shark's eggs.
That's my eventual choice. Haha!
Hermit crab!
Spot the HUGH rays that the uncle was feeding! The rays literally covered the divers with their entire body because they were very hungry. What a sight! Amazing!
The afternoon started with a day tour to the Warrock Cattle Farm.
A wombat eating.
Mummy holding on to a cup of feed because she didn't want to dirty her hands. Haha! Or was it an excuse for her fear?
The kangaroo is taller than me. Haha!
Daddy showing me how to feed the kangaroo.
Sheep.

I love to feed the sheep and now the cows.
The calves drinking from a man-made udder.
After the farm, we headed to a Koala Conservation Centre in Phillip Island and saw many sleeping koalas.
See the holes (burrows) in the ground. That's the homes of fairy penguins.
In the evening, thousands of fairy penguins came onshore back to their burrows in Phillip Island after a day of fishing in the sea. It's a pretty and beautiful sight!!

It's a pretty and beautiful sight!!Flew to Sydney this morning and we headed straight to one of the world's wonders - Sydney Opera House! Opps, the above pic is the Harbour Bridge just beside the Opera House. =)

Mummy and me, making our way up to the Opera House. To tell you the truth, I was really excited about seeing the Opera House and going inside to explore as I've learnt and seen pictures of the Sydney Opera House.

Off to Sydney Aquarium after the famous Opera House. Daddy was teaching me funny poses in the above picture. Lol.
The eels looked so fierce. I said that I wanted to eat eels and we had Japanese food (unagi) for dinner that day. That's my doting parents.
1st time seeing a pipe fish but I reckon mummy was more excited than me. Haha!. Another of Mister Seahorse's creatures.
Interesting Pineapple Fish!
The stingray is much bigger than the 2 sharks below. Wow!!

A Ray Shark. Interesting!
Time to head out to find food. Hungry!! Saw this beautiful Pelican Fountain and could not resist going near it. Hee ;p
Had our dinner (fish and chips) at Darling Harbour. I love the seagulls which flocked there.
Night view of Darling Harbour. Beautiful, isn't it?
I must go and try this playground when we chanced upon it, on our way back to our hotel.

Enjoying myself with the Blue Mountains as the backdrop!
Really an awesome and beautiful sight! Thank you daddy and mummy for letting me see real mountains. That's the thing about travel. I love travelling, you know. I love Australia so much that I didn't want to fly back to Singapore. Instead I told daddy that I want to fly to New Zealand because it's near Australia. Haha! Yes, credit goes to my beloved daddy for teaching me geography and the continents etc.
With the Three Sisters.
Afterwhich, we took the Skyway to admire more of the beautiful scenery.
Inside the Skyway.
There's this glass-bottom in the Skyway and I can see waterfall and cliffs from this view. Cool!
Proceeded to the Featherdale Wildlife Park after the Blue Mountains and had a good time there too, because there's animals. Haha!
I'm not afraid of the wallabies and kangaroos, you know. In fact, I love to pat them. =)
Finally saw a kookaburra after all these days in Australia.
The different cute poses of sleeping koalas. They are simply so adorable!
See the koala behind.
Finally I got to touch a koala, but when it's my turn this koala began to climb down. Oh no, what's happening?
Guess it's tired and the staff changed another koala for me to take pictures with and to touch. So happy!
Say cheeze, koala!
Hey, a joey!
Must take a picture with this kangaroo and her joey. =)
This wombat looks quite dirty. Haha!
Eat, goat, eat!
A close up picture of an echidna!
Finally, a tasmanian devil.

A white peacock? Hmm... interesting!
21 March 2009
Headed to the Australian Reptile Park early in the morning and was thrilled by the giant frilled neck lizard at the top of the entrance.
Can't resist taking a picture with this hugh alligator.
A real galapagos tortoise. It just happened to be the feeding time and I witnessed the whole process of it. =)
Next we sat on the 4 wheeled-drive and headed to the sand dunes.
It was sand and sand everywhere, a dessert. Hi everyone, I'm all ready to go sandboarding with daddy.
Us at the top of the very very high sand dunes.
Speeding down!
High-five! We've made it. Though it looks scary to mummy but I wasn't afraid at all and even enjoyed it so much that I asked daddy to try it again and again with me. We sandboarded 3 times and could have done it more if not for the steep climb up that is oh... so tiring. Poor daddy had to carry me up twice because I said I was tired. Love you, Daddy!

Not in captivity, mind you. But mummy didn't manage to take any pictures as the dolphins were too fast in leaping and diving into the sea again. Haha! An eye-opener!

Toilet Trained. Yeah!
You know what? Hee =pAt 32 months old, I'm toilet trained. Now I wear briefs instead of diapers and can say when I want to pee or pass motion in the toilet bowl. Daddy and mummy are very proud of me. Yeah!!

God Answers Prayers
Dark clouds in the sky and it started to drizzle when we were on our way to Changi Jetty. Alexis and I prayed that God will stop the rain as we really wanted to sit on the bumboat to Pulau Ubin.
Praise the Lord! It really stopped raining and though the sky was filled with threatening dark clouds, we still decided to board the bumboat by faith.
It didn't rain! What an experience to be sitting on a bumboat. Our 1st experience and an enjoyable one.
We only lingered awhile at Pulau Ubin as visiting the island is not our objective. It's sitting in the bumboat. Haha! p/s: The next day, I went to the Zoo and the same thing happened again. I prayed to God about the weather and it really didn't rain though the sky was filled with dark stormy clouds. I know that prayer is powerful and I'm never too young to pray nor for God to answer my prayers. Yeah!!
Fun with Alexis
Alexis finally came to my house (coz she's an 'owl' and I'm a 'bird' in terms of our sleeping timings) and we continued our crown-making since last week. We painted our vanguard sheet crown last week and now it's dry. We used glue to stick different coloured shapes onto it and mummy cut out our names and stuck it on our crowns. It's beautiful and we both love it so much. =)Thursday, March 05, 2009
Nature Again
Went for a morning walk around the neighbourhood and wow... what a day! We spotted a chameleon, up close and personal.
And the ground was covered wit flowers, it was quite a sight. I had a good time feeling and opening up the petals and checking out the anthers. I collected quite a few dry leaves and some flowers too!
An eye-opener to see a really HUGH spider. It was about the size of mummy's hands multiply by 3. Just imagine that. Went to the zoo recently and spotted spider web too. Mummy told me to blow at it and it just shook and didnt break. I learnt that spider web is actually very strong. Thus, it was great to spot a hugh spider just a few blocks away from home. =)Saturday, February 28, 2009
Snail
Am currently reading a book on snails and thus mummy decided to seize the opportunity to think of a 3D snail craft for me to reinforce the learning. Above pic shows me drawing the pattern for the snail's shell.Sunday, February 22, 2009
Bible Knowledge
I have been an avid 'reader' of the Bible and I'm currently at this stage of questioning and asking about everything under the sun. Yes, there's pros and cons. It's good that I can articulate well and am curious about things but mummy wanted to 'faint' at times, being the main target of my incessant questioning. Lol.On a particular day, I saw the above picture at the back of my Bible and the following conversation follows:
Me : Mummy, what's that?
Mum: What do you think it is?
Me : (thought for awhile) It is a shepherd.
Mum: (impressed that I know that a shepherd looks after sheep) Yes, it is a shepherd.
Me : Mummy, who is that? (referring to the shepherd)
Mum: (thinking 'how would I know' in my heart) Hmm... I don't know. Who do you think it is?
Me : I think it's Moses or David.
At this point, Mummy was rather impressed that I can remember that Moses became a shepherd at one point when he fled from Eygpt and that I didn't just know the David and Goliath story but that I remembered the fine details that David was actually a shepherd boy. Wow...
Mum: Hmm... Yes, I think it's Moses or David. (playing along with me coz I really have no idea who is that shepherd and I didn't want to go into more names and elaborate more. Tired.)
Me : I think it's Moses. Mummy, you see the frogs?
Mum: (dumbfounded and impressed)

Valentine's Day!
I am both daddy and mummy's valentine thus we are all out on a family date to celebrate Valentine's Day. Had a yummy dinner at Tung Lok Signature but the price is steep.
I was so thrilled to see this quail dish that comes with a 'nest' presenting the quail eggs. =)Friday, February 13, 2009
Night Safari!
It had been 6 months ago since I first entered into the dark - Night Safari! I love it so much that I have been asking to go there again but alas mummy thinks that it's too expensive to go there again so soon unless we are members. So, 6 months later my doting daddy decided to bring us there again!! Yeah!! We even paid $20 for the above souvenir photograph all because I said I wanted it.p/s: Mummy always think that daddy 'spoiled' me. Indeed, my daddy pampers me alot. =)
During the Creatures of The Night Show, there was this segment that involves a VERY BIG snake/. Can't remember its name, may be a boa. When the host asked for volunteer to touch the snake, I gamely raised my hand. But... she chose an adult male. I was so sad that I kept demanding that I WANT to touch the snake NOW! Who knows, as we were leaving the Night Safari and heading towards the entrance, there was this platform where you can take pictures with a real serval and a snake for $5. Without hesistation, daddy brought me to touch the snake. I touched and touched and touched and touched to my heart's content and ignored mummy when she asked me to smile for the camera. Haha! I don't know why but I just have this fascination and love for snakes.
This is the serval. We can't touch it but can only take pictures with it.
The next morning, mummy decided to tap on my Night Safari experience for an artwork. I was asked to name which night animals that I saw in Night Safari and we picked out the respective animals for craft work (pasting craft). On my own intiative, I took out my animals figurines to match.
First I used a black crayon to colour the whole paper black to depict the darkness in the night.
Then I carefully applied glue and pasted the various parts of the animals (eg the snake) on the drawing paper itself. The above shows me pasting the scales on the snake's body.
